Senior Business Development
Responsibilities Include:
• Mergers, acquisitions and dispositions
as well as partnerships, alliances, under the direction of the M&A
Alliance Division leadership, execute on divisional strategy through
the sourcing, execution and integration of M&A and third party partnerships
• Identify the universe of potential third party technology, distribution
and professional services partners; analyze and evaluate this universe
and determine which partners are worth pursuing, and by what means
(partnership, M&A, etc.)
• In-person prospecting, market research, and integration of divisional
strategy with candidate strengths and weaknesses all critical to
this stage
• Once consensus is built, execute on partnerships with / acquisitions
of potential partners that are most synergistic to divisional strategy
• Focus on negotiating and structuring the transaction, leading
due diligence teams, quarterbacking the opportunity through the internal
M&A
Alliance process, obtaining all approvals to sign and close, and
closing of the transaction
Cross-divisional Responsibilities
• Able to work directly with M&A Alliance leadership team on
cross-divisional projects
• Cross-divisional market analysis and assessment
• Cross-divisional M&A
• Cross-divisional distribution partnerships and go to market strategy
• Cross-divisional operations projects (i.e. subscription program assessment,
product pricing analysis, etc.)
Other Responsibilities
• Assist Finance Department in financial modeling, and in the case
of an acquisition, on valuation and purchase price allocation work
on an as needed basis
• Establish and develop relationships with executives at M&A Alliance,
as well as liaisons in Finance, Legal, HR, IT and Ops Departments

Requirements:
Skills:
• Strategic thinking; particularly ability to analyze industry trends
and company market position to determine optimal growth strategies
• Strong business research and analysis skills
• Strong financial modeling skills, including an understanding of integrated
financial modeling in Excel (e.g. tying sales forecasts together
with income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement)
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
• Good understanding of various partnership and acquisition structures;
knowledge of when to favor certain structure over others
• Strong communication skills, including ability to interface with
internal team members and our clients management as well as target
companies
• Able to create strong internal cross-divisional and functional relationships
and internal alliances
• Strong project management skills – particularly during the execution
process (including the due diligence phase)
Experience:
• At least 7+ years experience in business development and M&A
through either corporate development or investment banking assignments.
Established track record of business and market analysis and assessment,
and identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and closing acquisition
and/or partnership transactions (either individually or as part of
a deal team)
• Track record of having led partnership or acquisition due diligence
processes
• Some background in financial accounting and the transactional law,
particularly as they relate to deal execution and acceptability
• 5+ years substantive technology-related industry background required
